Hello, I'm working on a 2014 honda 125 engine ecu, looking to see what can be done to recover the firmware on the ecu, I have the ecu depotted, and in working order, looking for some help on locating serial interface, and what tools/software ill need to brute force the password?

Got the datasheet, no debug pins, but I located the serial rx/tx pins, what type of serial interface should I try? I have a few arduino mega's and a couple serial to usb adapters?

rxd0 and txd0 dont look like they go to the breakout pads, might it be rxd2 and txd2?

Security looks to be a password, no erase on connection according to worry about.

Boot mode still eludes me.

I have some high power servers on tap for brute forcing. and all the time it takes to do so. yes the mode pin is pulled to +5v when powered on. the model is the msx125.


I can get 10 of these ecu's easy, lots of guys are running the bazzaz z-fi ecu, and there is a surplus of stock ones.


Where to from here? If you want, I can give a donation for the help, I really want inside this ecu...

Hi FooKKen,

the last few weeks i am working on the PGM-FI ecus also. I have developed a tool that reads the maps from that ECUs and I already have maps from CBR600RR both normal and HRC ecus. I strongly believe that my tool will work on your ECU also.
At the same time i add support for that ECUs in my tuning suite,
